1979
- ‘Chung Tai Construction Company‘ was established. It has been supplying
and installing roller shutters ever since.
1987
- Chung Tai was included in the list of approved suppliers of materials
and specialist contractors of roller shutter for public works by the
Government Secretariat Lands and Works.
1995
- "Chung Tai Roller Shutters" was formed as the new name
of the Company.
- Quality of Chung Tai products was endorsed by Hong Kong Q-Mark Council.
- A specimen of Vertical Sliding Roller Shutter in the Warrington Fire
Test of UK satisfied the requirements of BS476: Part 22: Clause 8, 1987
and ISO3008,1984 for 242 minutes.
1996
- Chung Tai was approved to manufacture and install fire-rated vertical
sliding roller shutters.
1998
- "Chung Tai Roller Shutters"became an ISO9001:1994 certificated
company and was certified by HKQAA.
1999
- Chung Tai invented a new product, Superfine Vision Transparent Roller
Shutter, and the patent was filed in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and
Malaysia.
- Chung Tai purchased a cold rolled machine to manugacture Hollow Section
Slat Shutter.
- A specimen of Lateral Sliding Roller Shutter in a fire test satisfied
the requirements of BS476: Part 22: Clause 8, 1987 and ISO3008,1984
for 242 minutes.
2000
- A specimen of Horizontally Sliding Roller Shutter (for both Escalator
and Skylight Protection) in a fire test satisfying the requirement of
BS476: Part 22: Clause 8, 1987 and ISO3008,1984 for 242 minutes.
- A specimen of Fire-Rated Steel Doorset in a fire test satisfying
the requirement of BS476: Part 22: Clause 7 and Clause 8, 1987 and ISO3008,1984
for 240 minutes integrity and 1/2 hour insulation.
2001
- A specimen of steel pair leaf doorset in a fire test satisfying the
requirement of BS476: Part 22: Clause 8, 1987 and ISO3008,1984 for 240
minutes integrity.
- Chung Tai designed a new polycarbonate shutter - Clearseal roller
shutter. In August, it was filed to the New Hong Kong Short-term Patent
and the People's Republic of China Patent.
2002
- Chung Tai purchased a new sales office in Prince Edward, Kowloon.
- A specimen of two uninsulated single leaf doorsets with vision panel
and louvre in a fire test satisfied the requirement of BS476: Part 22:
Clause 8, 1987 for 240 minutes integrity.
- Chung Tai Roller Shutters Company Limited bacame an ISO9001:2000 certified
company and was certified by HKQAA.
2003
- Installation of Chung Tai's Fire-rated Air Louvre pm concrete or
masonry walls was assessed by BRANZ, New Zealand.
2004
- Chung Tai became a registered subcontractor in the Voluntary Subcontractor Registration Scheme
of PCICB with registration No.: R000120.
2006
- Chung Tai designed new polycarbonate shutter "Clearseal II" roller shutter.
- Chung Tai designed new polycarbonate shutter "Clearseal IIs" roller shutter.
- Chung Tai designed new rolling shutter - Rolling Screens.
2008
- Chung Tai designed new Fire-rated Curtain.
- Chung Tai designed new Aluminium Folding Shutter.
- Chung Tai designed new Weave Mesh Curtain Shutter.
